incase you can't see. that is francesco (one of the 2 men behind heart break beat reocrds) giving the finger to old georgey pooh.. so this has been a pretty nutty past 2 weeks.. i got sick with the flu and had to work at the cafe while making many frequent trips to the bathroom durring cooking orders... it really sucked.. but the horizon kept me goin .. all the way to sxsw.. and it was great.. i saw many austin freinds.. however not enough.. but miss butcher was nice enough to let my sticky ass aleep and shower at her buitful house .. ok . so i will get the bands out of the way first... BAMM!! me and paul started the long weekend off with our new band... Nebraska! a springsteen cover band... i booked a show at teh circle bar for the heartbreakbeat bands... red beards was on it untill we called it quits.. hence the new springsteen band.. from every tradgity there is a lovey birth... or something.. the new flesh.. they are musical masterminds... and fucking werid dudes.. i love them. in the crowd is the infamous Tate of the red beards and a new freind i made last week.. Dana.. we went to Austin in the rental car i rented along with tom (the other guy who runs the record lable) and Cathren.. this is Vincent black Shaddow.. they sounnd like led zepplin but way better... after that we drove to austin and 5 minutes into being there we saw the new flesh again. and then i saw this other band from baltamore that was awsome.. i can't remember there name.. but i got there cdr.. .. anyways.. the next day i ran into my freind Jerm playing at the pizza place on south congress.. and then lady hawk played right after that.. i bought 2 lp's from them.. then i ran into this guy i knew from new orleans that moved away to chicogo.. Frado .. he told me about his band playing a showcase show later that night .. then i walked from the east side of I-35 all the way to about 1 block away of mopack highway.. !! for those residents of austin .. you know how long of a walk that is... anyway i made it just in time to catch plus minus!!! AMAZING! then bought 2 more of there records.. and saw the roasebuds a few minutes later!! then i learned how to take the bus.. and in doing so i met this lady who evacuated new orleans for katrina and went to austin like me and lauren did.. but this lakeview resadent decided to park it in texas.. that was a fun bus ride.. i will probablly never see her again.. so then i get off the bus and start walking around downtown and i see a tent that stop letting people in because they were at capacity .. a man asked me who was playing inside and i was like "i dont know but it sounds like bob mould" and then a guy next to me said " it is bob mould " !! so i walked to the back and got to watch him play through the band entrance.. then i walked into this shitty bar called plush and watched a punk band from bloomington called bitter homes and gardens then i went to this 6th st bar and saw pete and mike blum play a set and then big blue marble played after that and then i went and saw j church (the only show i payed for the entire time in austin!!) and then i went to this 6th st bar called soho were frado's band was playing and saw this band called the navagator.. indie rock maddness!! and then frado's band the race played.. AND THEN MARITIME PLAYED!!!! that was amazing!! and i saw them again the next day with jessica holiday and here louisiana freind and Dana.. but i didn't take any pictures... but that show was also amazing!!! the next day i started it off with a little white mice then a little pony pants later that night i saw matt and kim and then finished the sxsw experience up with a new band called deerhunter what a trip!! and i had lots of fun with old freinds and new freinds.. shit.. that was a ball!! ok .. time to hit the sack. i will give yall the record list of what i bought in austin another time maybe.. peace!!
